Pound Cakes
It's an added perk to be serving in SC because some of our grandchildren live just a few hours away. Hannah came for a few days and went with us as we worked the Airman's Attic and the Readiness Center. We visted some people and of course staying with my brother, George, that means baking cakes. Hannah enjoyed making and eating one of Uncle George's recipes.

Yes, we brought the dirt bike on our mission. Dick rode a wheelie on his birthday dressed in his suit before we sent the bike away for the rest of our mission. No I didn't have the camera, rats.

Every month the base chaplain, Chaplain Kathy Scott, has a Deployment Dinner for family members of those deployed. A different church in the Sumter area provides food and drink. This was our first on June 25, 2012. We are at each one and are in charge  of clean-up. We have met some wonderful members of other denominations and are developing an real love for them and the services they provide to their fellowmen. We look forward to them each month.
